Celebrating Peruvian Music at the ONErpm x Sofar Miami Perú Showcase
I’m excited to share what an amazing night it was performing alongside ABRL, an emerging artist based in Lima, who did an incredible job representing the next generation of Peruvian music. You can check out ABRL and her music here.
It was also an honor to perform for several incredible artists in the audience, including Peruvian pop star Gian Marco. After my performance, Gian Marco shared some history about the Peruvian music I performed and the work of renowned Peruvian composer Chabuca Granda. He also encouraged me with words that really stayed with me: “This business is not about speed, it’s about patience.” Wise words that I’ll carry with me.
More than anything, this night was meaningful because it gave us an opportunity to uplift Peru through music alongside other Peruvian and Latino artists in the room. Celebrating our culture, our artists, and the music that connects us is something I’m incredibly proud to be a part of.
I’m grateful to the entire ONErpm team for the collaboration and for helping bring this celebration of Peruvian music to life. And a special thank you to Herb Sosa from Unity Coalition for his continued support and for consistently creating opportunities that uplift our community.
Fiesta de Música Familiar
The Fiesta de Música Familiar series was such an amazing part of this summer, bringing families and the community together through live music. It was wonderful to see so many people come out, connect, and enjoy these special performances together.
