I had the AMAZING experience of doing a kids music presentation on the GÜIRA, a percussion instrument from the Dominican Republic. This was for Angie Cruz’s book release event for her new bilingual kids book called Angélica Y La Güira. It was great teaching Juan Luis Guerra’s (music god of Dominican Republic) music with the Güira instrument and teaching Latin music rhythms.
