“Yo, banda tengo que darte. Y tu, a mi banda tienes que darme…”. In Spanish, the literal translation is “I have to give you band. And you have to give me my band”. In Dominican slang, that phrase means “Leave me alone”.

“Quedate Con El” is about an ex-lover that keeps trying to come back to you, so you say “Stay With Him” (the translation of the song title). This song has dark tones and an urban vibe. My co-writer and I wanted to write a breakup song that mentioned drunk texts and the bitterness between 2 ex-lovers.
