What a pleasure to sing for Organization of American States (OAS) for the turnover of LGBTI+ Leadership. The Leadership was transferred from the U.S. to Uruguay.

“As we look ahead, we must continue to work with our allies to ensure that the OAS remains a platform for cooperation, visibility and advocacy on LGBTI+ issues.
One of the performers from the OAS Pride celebration is with us again today – singer-songwriter, pianist, and producer Chris Urquiaga, also known as JChris. His work is influenced by his Brazilian and Peruvian heritage and explores themes of gender fluidity and queer culture. And I am pleased to share that, as part of the State Department’s American Music Abroad exchange program, he will be touring Costa Rica and Trinidad and Tobago very soon. Thank you for being with us today to inspire us with your music, Chris.”
