I’m excited to release my enticing collaboration featuring the exceptional talent of trans Afro-Colombian artist, LoMaasBello, recently recognized by Grammy.com as one of the “LGBTQIA+ Latinx Artists You Need To Know”. Collaborating with LoMaasBello, who hails from the vibrant city of Buenaventura, Colombia, has been an extraordinary experience. Her music, filled with raw talent and authentic energy, caught my attention online and I knew we had to work together. Her unapologetic embrace of her queer identity has moved me in profound ways, inspiring me to express my most authentic self through my music. I want to personally thank LoMaasBello for being a part of this project.
I am inspired by the Mariconería movement in urban Latin music and see myself as a part of it, part of this revolution in music that embraces and celebrates all identities. I want my music to be a beacon of change, unifying people and encouraging them to be their authentic selves. LoMaasBello embodies this vision with her music and her life. She is an inspiration, and I am honored to collaborate with her. As we move forward, I look forward to more collaborations that further contribute to ‘La Mariconería’, to this revolution that we’re a part of.
