What started off as a year of darkness and isolation turned out to be quite a bright and eventful one. As the world gradually reopened, some of the honors I had was to:
•Be selected as the featured artist for Capital Pride DC and performed for DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and thousands of spectators
•Record and release a song/music video with chart-topping Latin superstar Naldo Benny in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
•Perform as a headliner at 54 Below for my own “Latin Music Night” show with guest artists from Broadway and Television
•Perform my first in-person drag show as my drag queen persona, Cara Linda
•Make my Off-Broadway debut with my original music at the Triad Theatre for an original play
•Record music videos with an LGBTQ+ focused narrative and have Hollywood’s Yurel Echezarreta (from the 2021 movie “West Side Story” (Remake)) as the choreographer & creative director for the videos
•Perform my music internationally in Puerto Rico and South America
•Be asked to work at the prestigious St. Ann’s School in Brooklyn, NY as a music teacher for talented children
•As well as my impressive Spotify and Youtube numbers!
I want to thank everyone who believed in me and supported me this year. You all have been tremendous in my growth. I am looking forward to a 2022 filled with happiness, progress and giving back.
